Million Hands Project
The following is an extract from a Leonard Cheshire newsletter:

Leonard Cheshire Disability is one of the five charities chosen by The Scout Association to work with Scouts for A Million Hands.

A Million Hands is The Scout Association’s initiative to mobilise half a million young people to remove social barriers, connect communities, and improve lives by taking direct action on four issues chosen by Scouts themselves, including disability.

The partnership with Scouts is an exciting opportunity for Leonard Cheshire Disability to work with young people across the UK to increase the positive impact of our work for disabled people.

Leonard Cheshire Disability would like to say a big thank you to the local Scout group (1st Charminster).
They have installed a planter for kitchen herbs to help make a sensory garden for the residents to enjoy at our home in Friars Close Dorchester. The scouts also put up bird boxes to encourage wildlife to nest in the garden.

The Scouts worked very hard with this project and raised several donations to enable this to happen.
