We have really struggled with how to handle out of area cards this year; in the past we have put a second class stamp on them and put them in the regular post even when they are destined for foreign shores. As there are so many this year we have decided we must adopt an alternative strategy and we looked to the Post Office for inspiration: They notify recipients that the postage is incorrect and ask them to collect their mail from the main sorting office then charge an additional fee.

The approach we have chosen to take is to advertise the cards that we are unable to deliver on this page, so that the sender or recipient can arrange to collect them from our main sorting office in Dorchester, however no additional fee will be charged. We will just be happy to (re-)unite you with your cards.
